Full day Huaraz – Punta Olímpica (4800 m) – summit (5150 m) – return
At 3:00 am, we will depart from Huaraz towards Carhuaz, where we will take the detour to the Cordillera Blanca through the Ulta valley until we reach the Punta Olímpica tunnel. This journey will take approximately 3 hours.
At 6:00 am, we will begin the ascent through the morraine (rocky and vertical path) of Nevado Contrahierbas south. After approximately 1.5 hours of ascent, we will reach the glacier. Then, we will continue ascending for another 2 to 2.5 hours until we reach the summit.
After spending a few minutes at the summit, we will begin the descent, which will take approximately 2.5 hours until we reach the road again, where our transport will be waiting to return to the city of Huaraz. We will arrive in Huaraz around 4:00 pm.
