Then we continue to Rocotuyoc Lagoon, where we’ll enjoy splendid views of the surrounding mountains. From there, we walk along a gentle trail to reach the Frozen Lagoon, nestled beside a glacier and known for its floating ice fragments. After spending a meaningful amount of time in this sacred landscape, we return to Rocotuyoc and take our vehicle back to Huaraz.

Continuing on, we arrive at PumapaShimi, the endless seven-colored lake, followed by the Puyas Raymondi forest, home to the most iconic plant of the Andes. Finally, we reach the majestic Pastoruri Glacier, where you’ll have time to take photos and explore its frozen lagoon and ice walls. On the return to Huaraz, the group will stop for lunch at a restaurant in the town of Catac (not included). The tour concludes between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

  • 06:00 AM (approx.): We begin our ascent along the moraine — a rocky, steep path on the southern face of Nevado Contrahierbas. This section takes approximately 2 hours until we reach the edge of the glacier. There, we’ll gear up with technical ice equipment and continue the climb to the summit, which takes about 1 more hour. At the top, we’ll pause for photos and panoramic views, then descend along the same trail for about 2.5 hours back to Punta Olímpica, where our transport will be waiting.
