Our first stop will be the town of Carhuaz, where we’ll enjoy traditional artisanal ice cream and take photos in the main square. We’ll then visit the historic city of Yungay (Campo Santo), buried by the 1970 earthquake and landslide — now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, we’ll ascend to Chinancocha Lagoon in the Llanganuco Valley, where you’ll have the option to enjoy a boat ride (not included in the price). On the return journey, the group will stop for lunch at a country-style restaurant (not included). Before arriving back in Huaraz, we’ll visit the artisan village of Taricá, where you’ll witness firsthand how local ceramics and crafts are made. The tour concludes around 7:00 PM.

Our first stop is Querococha Lagoon (4,200 m / 13,780 ft), offering sweeping views of the Andean landscape — a stunning contrast of lagoon, ichu grass, and mountains — including a geological formation shaped like the map of Peru. We then ascend toward the Cahuish Tunnel, crossing into the Conchucos Valley, and eventually arrive at Chavín to explore the magnificent Archaeological Complex of Chavín de Huántar and its network of underground galleries — one of the oldest and most complete monuments in the Peruvian Andes. The group will have lunch (not included) at a selected restaurant. We conclude the tour with a visit to the National Museum of Chavín, which houses all the recovered artifacts from the archaeological site. Return to Huaraz, arriving between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

Continuing on, we arrive at PumapaShimi, the endless seven-colored lake, followed by the Puyas Raymondi forest, home to the most iconic plant of the Andes. Finally, we reach the majestic Pastoruri Glacier, where you’ll have time to take photos and explore its frozen lagoon and ice walls.
